Visual Breathing Exercise

Want to take a quick break from your daily grind? Try this out for a couple minutes. Breathe in rhythm with the graphic below. Inhale as it expands and exhale as it contracts. Loosely focus your eyes on the image without concentrating too hard. Go for as long as you feel comfortable and if your breath begins to become out of sync with the image that is okay. If the image causes your breathing to feel unnatural then become mindful of that sensation and return to your natural breathing rate. Enjoy the moment and the movement of your breath within you. Enjoy!

  2. Love the visual, but I think it is too fast, and doesn’t encourages brief pauses between the inhale and exhale, ” turns” of the breath that encourage parasympathetic relaxation.
